Thank you so much for your concern about our CEO, Ken Rakusin, his family, and their home. Fortunately, his family was able to evacuate safely and are now staying together at another property. While Ken’s home did sustain significant damage, estimated between $30,000 and $50,000 without insurance as State Farm dropped their coverage a few months ago, we truly feel it was a miracle that the house is still standing.
To give you an idea of the destruction around us: if you exit the home and look to the right, just four houses away, you'll see complete devastation stretching for about a mile and a half. However, to the left, there's minimal or no damage at all. It's truly astonishing how random and unpredictable this fire has been.
Our factory and offices are located 15-20 miles away from the nearest fire, so they are completely safe and secure. All of our team members are also living a similar or greater distance from the fires, so everyone is out of harm’s way.
We’re grateful to be safe and look forward to continuing business as usual.
Push floor and upright brooms has been the main floor sweeping tools since the beginning of time. A push floor broom is made to move light dust and debris to heavy debris from one part of a floor to another so it can be picked up and discarded in the garbage receptacle. These brushes are very popular within the janitorial industry.
Gordon Brush® manufactures five lines of push floor brooms: an ESD push floor broom made with static dissipative nylon fill that is used in the electronics, printing, aerospace and similar industries with static charge is an issue; a heavy duty Perma Poly™ plastic block floor brush with heavy duty Palmyra fill; the Seat Sweep® line of thin profile floor brooms used to clean underneath the seats in theaters, stadiums, and arenas; the unique Speed Sweep® line of steel-backed floor brooms that has been used since 1897; and the Heavyweight™ line for heavy duty floor sweeping, indoors and outdoors.
No other brush manufacturer makes a diverse line of push floor brooms as does Gordon Brush®. With a variety of choices of fill material, block material, sizes, shapes and styles, Gordon Brush® is your go to source for your floor care needs. Contact us today at 323-724-7777 or [email protected].
