Flap Brushes are the versatile, high-performance alternative to conventional bristle brushes and messy, technique-dependent buffing compounds. These long-lasting, precision-made brushes give you improved consistency and greater control over a number of critical metal prep and finishing tasks, including cleaning, stripping, deburring, polishing, aesthetic finishing and more.​

Gordon Brush's bonded flap brushes are made from non-woven abrasive material. Flap brushes are made from a flexible open structure nylon web that is impregnated with resin and aluminum oxide grain. A non-woven grit, refers to the size of the abrasive grain impregnated into the nylon web. The lower the number, the larger the grains. Use of large particles (coarse grit) results in a more aggressive cut and a coarser finish.

The outer diameter of the flaps range from 3.75" to 6" and the inner diameter from 1" to 2". These flap brushes have an overall length of 24" or 30". Grit options range from a fine 300 up to a super fine 500.

Non-woven Flap brushes are capable of conforming to concave, flat, and irregular surfaces. They create matte and satin finishes without lines on work pieces. They are excellent for blending, cleaning welds, and removing corrosion, rust or scaling and for grain, antique, and satin finishes, finishing aluminum extrusions, and applying an inline brushed finish on aluminum and stainless steel​
